    Windwalker Group, LLC is seeking a Surface Transportation Project Manager responsible for managing instructional design and development project for a Department of Transportation (DOT) client with an understanding of the following:

    - Industry Best Practices in Instructional Design Principles, including development of ILT courseware and delivery.

    - Subject matter understanding in the following DOT National Highway Institute areas a plus:

    - Structures, Pavements and Materials, Geotechnical, Design and Traffic Operations, Construction and Maintenance, Asset Management, Financial Management, Hydraulics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Freight and Transportation Logistics, Real Estate, Environment, Transportation Planning, Civil Rights, and/or Highway Safety.


    The Project Manager shall be responsible for overall management of the tasks, including quality assurance for all training products delivered to the Government and availability of resources to complete all tasks in the task order.


    Project Manager duties include:

    • Oversee the development of task order schedules, resource allocation and budgets. Tracking the program budgets and providing forecasts, establishing and maintaining program status summaries and metrics for the project portfolio.
    • Organize, direct, and manage task order support functions, involving multiple, complex and inter-related project tasks.
    • Ensure products completed in accordance to the agreed upon development schedules.
    • Ensure proper product quality and functionality per the task order requirements.
    • Meet with customer to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.


    The Project Manager shall:

    • Possess excellent verbal, presentation, and writing skills;
    • Perform at a level equivalent to five years of experience in project management;
    • Possess leadership skills with a collaborative management style that will facilitate interaction with supervisors, colleagues, customers and corporate partners;
    • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific field, or in technicalproject management;
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant instructional design principles.
