    Windwalker Group is currently seeking a CPM Scheduler for our client office in Boston MA. Initial project will be supporting the furnishing of a complete Positive Train Control (PTC) system on the entire Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Commuter Rail network. The PTC contract’s scope of work will include design, integration, delivery of materials, on board and field installation, testing, commissioning, technical support and documentation for the PTC system.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with all stakeholders to maintain, and administer overall schedule in Critical Path Method (CPM) format showing key milestones, events and activities incorporating all PTC activities such as equipment procurement and delivery, installation, testing, training, design, etc.
    • Support the overall scheduled monthly progress update cycle, forecast, critical path, and trend analyses.
    • Interface with project engineering personnel to assist proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
    • Assist with the identification of alternate approaches to optimize the plan(s.)
    • Review and verify contractors reported progress through field walks and incorporate into schedule progress updates.
    • Contribute to the development of the project risk profiles and regularly track the schedule risk mitigation efforts, the main paths to completion, float, consumption and the release of schedule contingency.
    • Utilizing the Master Project Schedule, prepare monthly status reports.
    • Maintain cost and resource loaded schedules in Primavera P6 v7.0
    • Support the analysis and development of alternatives and expected outcomes to avoid potential Project schedule delays.
    • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor progress and assure progress schedule integrity
    • Assist the Project Controls Group in various projects as necessary

    Qualifications

    • BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Five years of related project controls /scheduling experience may be substituted for degree.
    • Primavera P6 v7.0 experience
    • 3-5 years of construction experience on transportation (transit, highway, aviation) projects
    • 3-5 years of scheduling experience with Primavera P6.
    • Transit experienced preferred
